The biggest Lego® set ever is the Lego Architecture Sagrada Família (21065), with 12,060 pieces. It went on sale on 1 November 2026 and took the record from the World Map (31203), whose 11,695 pieces had led the ranking since 2021. Behind them come the Eiffel Tower, the Titanic and the Colosseum, each with between 9,000 and 10,001 pieces, followed by the 9,023-piece Death Star from 2025.
Giant sets have become far more common. Twenty-one of the 25 sets below date from 2020 or later, six of them from 2026 alone: Sagrada Família, Minas Tirith, the Pokémon trio of Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise, the Executor Super Star Destroyer, the Venetian Neighborhood and Godzilla.
How the ranking works. “Biggest” here means the official piece count of a single retail set, as listed on lego.com on 5 November 2026. For the 2008 Taj Mahal, which Lego no longer lists, we use Brickset's catalogue. Retired sets count, and so does Godzilla, which goes on sale on 27 November 2026, because Lego has published both its piece count and its release date. Bundles and gifts with purchase do not count. Height, weight and price play no part in the order: for height, see our list of the tallest Lego sets, and for launch prices the most expensive Lego sets.

1. Lego® Architecture 21065 Sagrada Família
Sagrada Família 21065 is the first Lego set with more than 12,000 pieces. Its 12,060 pieces recreate Antoni Gaudí's basilica in Barcelona as a display model more than 62 cm high, 47 cm wide and 39 cm deep, with a stained-glass effect in the windows. Lego describes it as a structurally advanced build that you assemble in a realistic sequence.
The set went on sale on 1 November 2026. For the first time, a Lego Architecture set, a theme better known for compact skylines and landmarks, tops the ranking. Lego also points to the build order: as with the real basilica, you start with the apse, the crypt and the Nativity façade, the only part Gaudí completed himself, and finish with the Glory façade.
2. Lego® Art 31203 World Map
World Map 31203 held the piece-count record from its release in June 2021 until Sagrada Família arrived in November 2026. The reason for its 11,695 pieces is the format: the map is a wall picture built from thousands of small pieces on 40 wall-decor plates, so the count is huge while the model itself stays flat.
Lego offers three different versions of the world map to build, and the finished picture measures more than 65 cm high and 104 cm wide. The set was retired at the end of 2023, so Lego no longer sells it.
- World Map
- Ages: 18 and up
- Number of pieces: 11,695
3. Lego® Icons 10307 Eiffel Tower
At 149 cm, the Eiffel Tower 10307 is the tallest Lego set ever made, and its 10,001 pieces put it third by piece count. Lego designed it to be assembled in four parts, much like the original monument, and the details run from the four plinths and three observation platforms to the lifts with their cabling and Gustave Eiffel's private office at the top.
The Esplanade at the base adds Parisian lampposts, benches, trees and shrubs. Because the tower separates into four parts with carry handles, you can move it without dismantling it brick by brick. It also tops our ranking of the tallest Lego sets.
- Eiffel Tower
- Ages: 18 and up
- Number of pieces: 10,001
4. Lego® Icons 10294 Titanic
The Titanic 10294 from 2021 has 9,090 pieces and is one of the longest Lego models, at more than 135 cm. Lego built the ship at a scale of 1:200, with more than 300 portholes, lifeboats, the bridge and a cargo crane on the outside.
The hull splits into three sections, which opens up the interior: the grand staircase, cabins, the dining room, the smoking and reading lounges and the swimming pool. Turning the propellers moves the piston engines inside, and the set comes with display stands and a name plaque.
- Titanic
- Ages: 18 and up
- Number of pieces: 9,090
5. Lego® Icons 10276 Colosseum
When the Colosseum 10276 arrived in November 2020, Lego called it the biggest Lego set ever, and its 9,036 pieces kept that title until the World Map came out the following year. The model has three storeys of arches decorated with Doric, Ionic and Corinthian columns, like the real amphitheatre in Rome.

The finished model measures more than 27 cm high, 52 cm wide and 59 cm deep. Lego points out that, despite the piece count, it is easy to lift and turn. The set was retired at the end of 2023.
- Colosseum
- Ages: 18 and up
- Number of pieces: 9,036
6. Lego® Star Wars 75419 Death Star
The 2025 Death Star 75419 is the biggest Lego Star Wars set so far, with 9,023 pieces. This Ultimate Collector Series model shows the battle station from A New Hope as a cross-section full of scenes: the trash compactor, a working lift, Emperor Palpatine's throne room, the tractor beam controls and the superlaser.
Lego includes 38 characters: 36 minifigures and two droid figures. At more than 70 cm high and 79 cm wide it needs a wide spot, although at 27 cm deep its footprint stays compact. Our Death Star 75419 review looks at whether it is worth the price.
- Death Star
- Ages: 18 and up
- Number of pieces: 9,023
7. Lego® Icons 11377 The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith
Minas Tirith 11377 arrived in June 2026 and is now the biggest Lord of the Rings set, with 8,278 pieces. Lego calls it a hybrid-scale model: the architecture of the White City is compressed, while interior scenes such as the citadel's throne room work with minifigures.
The model is more than 59 cm high, 62 cm wide and 37 cm deep and comes with ten minifigures, including Gandalf the White, Aragorn as King Elessar, Arwen, Faramir, Denethor and Pippin.
- Minas Tirith
- Ages: 18 and up
- Number of pieces: 8,278
8. Lego® Star Wars 75192 Millennium Falcon
When it launched in October 2017, the Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon 75192 took the piece-count record from the 2008 Taj Mahal. Its 7,541 pieces build a minifigure-scale Falcon more than 84 cm long, 60 cm wide and 21 cm high, with removable hull panels.
Inside are the main hold with the Dejarik game table, an engineering station and the gunnery station. Interchangeable sensor dishes let you display the ship as it looks in the original trilogy or in the sequels, and the minifigures cover both eras: Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia and C-3PO, plus an older Han, Rey and Finn.
- Millennium Falcon
- Ages: 16 and up
- Number of pieces: 7,541
9. Lego® Pokémon 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise
With 6,838 pieces, this is the biggest set in Lego's Pokémon range, which launched in 2026. Instead of a scene, it builds three posable figures, Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise, each mounted on a beach, jungle or volcano stand.
The stands connect into one battlefield, and the figures stand more than 23, 20 and 18 cm tall. Like most sets on this list, it is aimed at adults and designed for display.
- Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise
- Ages: 18 and up
- Number of pieces: 6,838
10. Lego® Star Wars 75313 AT-AT
The 2021 Ultimate Collector Series AT-AT has 6,785 pieces and stands more than 62 cm tall. Its body panels lift off to reveal an interior with room for up to 40 minifigures, four speeder bikes (two are included) and an E-Web heavy repeating blaster.
Nine minifigures come with it, including General Veers, Luke Skywalker and a Snowtrooper Commander, plus an information plaque for display. The set was retired at the end of 2024.
- AT-AT

- Number of pieces: 6,785
11. Lego® Star Wars 75331 The Razor Crest
The Razor Crest 75331 from The Mandalorian came out in October 2022 with 6,187 pieces. Its engines and cockpit can be removed, two side hatches open, and the cargo hold has room for a buildable Blurrg, a weapons cabinet and a carbon-freezing chamber. The escape pod detaches as well.
The ship is more than 72 cm long. It comes with the Mandalorian, the Mythrol and Kuiil as minifigures, plus Grogu in his pram, and was retired at the end of 2025.
- The Razor Crest
- Ages: 18 and up
- Number of pieces: 6,187
12. Lego® Icons 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell
Rivendell 10316 has 6,167 pieces and was the biggest Lord of the Rings set until Minas Tirith arrived. The 2023 model splits into three sections, the tower, the council ring and the gazebo with river and bridge, so the Council of Elrond can be lifted off and displayed on its own.
It includes 15 minifigures, among them Frodo, Sam, Bilbo, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir and Gandalf the Grey, along with details such as Frodo's bedroom and Elrond's study. The finished valley is more than 72 cm wide.
- Rivendell
- Ages: 18 and up
- Number of pieces: 6,167
13. Lego® Ninjago 71799 Ninjago City Markets
Ninjago City Markets 71799 is the biggest Ninjago set, with 6,163 pieces, and one of the few sets on this list rated for ages 14 and up. Its four floors are packed with shops, restaurants, offices and apartments, from a bakery and a blacksmith's to a karaoke club and a rooftop food court.
A cable car with two stations, a lift and a boat connect the city, and several rooms can be removed for play. The 21 minifigures and the option to combine it with Ninjago City Gardens (71741) make it as much a playset as a display model.
- Ninjago City Markets
- Ages: 14 and up
- Number of pieces: 6,163
14. Lego® Star Wars 75457 Executor Super Star Destroyer
The newest Star Wars giant went on sale in October 2026 with 6,130 pieces. Lego calls the Executor the longest brick-built Lego Star Wars model yet: it is more than 136 cm long, 50 cm wide and 20 cm high.
Its seven minifigures are Darth Vader and, for the first time in one set, all six bounty hunters from The Empire Strikes Back: Boba Fett, Dengar, Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM and Zuckuss. A model of the Executor's bridge and a small brick-built Star Destroyer for scale complete the display.
- Executor Super Star Destroyer
- Ages: 18 and up
- Number of pieces: 6,130
15. Lego® Harry Potter 71043 Hogwarts Castle
Hogwarts Castle 71043 from 2018 is still the biggest Harry Potter set, with 6,020 pieces. Lego built the castle in microscale, which is how it fits so many locations: the Great Hall, the Chamber of Secrets, the Room of Requirement, the library and Dumbledore's office, plus Hagrid's hut and the Whomping Willow.
The set includes four minifigures of the Hogwarts founders and 27 microfigures. At more than 58 cm high and 69 cm wide, it is a display piece rather than a playset.
- Hogwarts Castle
- Ages: 16 and up
- Number of pieces: 6,020
16. Lego® Creator Expert 10256 Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal 10256 from 2017 is a relaunch of the 2008 model and has 5,923 pieces, exactly one more than the original. Lego describes four facades with arches, a central dome, four smaller domed chambers and four minarets on a raised platform.
The model measures more than 43 cm high and 51 cm wide and deep, and it divides into seven sections for transport. It was retired at the end of 2020.
17. Lego® 10189 Taj Mahal
The original Taj Mahal 10189 came out in 2008 with 5,922 pieces and was the biggest Lego set for almost a decade, until the Millennium Falcon 75192 arrived in 2017. It was a Lego exclusive and today is only found on the collector market.
Brickset lists it on sale from October 2008 until the end of 2010.
18. Lego® Icons 10299 Real Madrid – Santiago Bernabéu Stadium
The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium 10299 from 2022 packs 5,876 pieces into a model only 14 cm high, a good example of how piece count and size can differ. The pitch, goals, tunnel, dugouts, scoreboards, banners and stands are all there, along with the team bus and a printed club logo.

The stadium splits in half and its roof lifts off for a view inside. It measures more than 44 cm wide and 38 cm deep and was retired at the end of 2023.
- Santiago Bernabéu Stadium
- Ages: 18 and up
- Number of pieces: 5,876
19. Lego® Ninjago 71741 Ninjago City Gardens
Ninjago City Gardens 71741 was released in 2021 for the tenth anniversary of Ninjago. Its five tiers hold an ice cream shop, Chen's noodle house, a ninja control room and a museum, and each tier lifts off for play.
At more than 73 cm, it is also one of the tallest sets in this ranking, and it includes 19 minifigures with a golden Wu Legacy figure. Lego's product data lists 5,686 pieces, while the set description and catalogues such as Brickset give 5,685. We use 5,685; either figure keeps the set in 19th place, just three pieces ahead of the Venetian Neighborhood.
20. Lego® Icons 11388 Venetian Neighborhood
The Venetian Neighborhood 11388 went on sale in November 2026, the same month as Sagrada Família, with 5,682 pieces. It is a canal-side diorama of Venice with a luxury villa, a glassblowing workshop and an astronomical clock tower, an arched bridge over the canal and a gondola.

- Venetian Neighborhood
- Ages: 18 and up
- Number of pieces: 5,682
21. Lego® Harry Potter 75978 Diagon Alley
Diagon Alley 75978 from 2020 has 5,544 pieces and stretches more than 102 cm wide, but it is only 13 cm deep, so it works as a long street front. The shops include Ollivanders, Flourish & Blotts, Quality Quidditch Supplies, Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour and Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, as well as the Daily Prophet entrance.
The buildings are modular and can be rearranged. Even the hat-lifting entrance of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes is worked by hand, so no batteries are needed.

25. Lego® Ideas 21375 Godzilla
Godzilla 21375 goes on sale on 27 November 2026 with 5,363 pieces. As a Lego Ideas set, it is based on a fan designer's idea that other fans voted for before Lego produced it. The result is a posable figure more than 70 cm tall: you build the tail curving to the left or the right, and the head, arms, wrists and fingers can be adjusted for battle poses.
For the most famous pose, you swap the tongue for a Heat Ray piece. Godzilla is the only set in this ranking that is not on sale yet.
Just outside the top 25
Two sets dropped out of the ranking in November 2026 when the Venetian Neighborhood and Godzilla arrived. The Avengers Tower (76269) from 2023 has 5,201 pieces and, at more than 90 cm, is one of the tallest Lego sets. The Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon (10179) from 2007 has 5,197 pieces; when it came out, no Lego set had more, and the 2008 Taj Mahal was the first to beat it.
Next in line are Hogwarts Express – Collectors' Edition (76405) from 2022 with 5,129 pieces, the original Ninjago City (70620) from 2017 with 4,867 and The Old Town (71861) from 2026 with 4,851. Any new release with more than 5,363 pieces will push Godzilla out of the top 25.
No Technic set comes close. The biggest, the Liebherr R 9800 Excavator (42100), has 4,108 pieces.

Conclusion
A high piece count can mean very different things: a huge wall picture in the World Map, architecture in the Sagrada Família and the Colosseum, or dense interiors in the Death Star and Hogwarts Castle. If shelf space matters, compare the dimensions given for each set, because the biggest sets range from a flat wall picture to a 149 cm tower.
