The top 10 Lego® sets with the most minifigures

📘 Lists

The Lego® set with the most minifigures is the Star Wars Death Star 75419 from 2025. Lego lists 38 figures for it: 36 minifigures and 2 droid figures. In second place is the Marvel Avengers Tower 76269 with 31 figures, followed by the Daily Bugle 76178 and the older Death Star 75159 with 25 each.

Our previous version of this list mixed in figure packs, board games with microfigures and catalogue counts that did not match the box. This update starts from scratch and uses one rule for every set.

How this ranking works. We count the minifigures and figures that Lego itself states for a single retail set, as published on lego.com on 6 November 2026. Droid figures count when Lego counts them. Animals, microfigures and brick-built creatures do not. When two sets have the same number, the newer set comes first. Figure packs, chess sets, Serious Play kits and multi-set bundles are covered separately below, because their figures are the product rather than part of a model.

1. Lego® Star Wars 75419 Death Star: 38 figures

The 2025 Death Star is the clear number one. Lego counts 36 minifigures and 2 droid figures, so 38 in total, and that is seven more than the next set. The cast covers the first film: Luke Skywalker as a Jedi and in stormtrooper disguise, Han Solo in two versions, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, Grand Moff Tarkin and a large group of Imperial officers, troopers and crew.

The figures are spread across a model with 9,023 pieces that includes the trash compactor, Leia's cell, the tractor beam controls, the Emperor's throne room and the hangar with the Imperial Shuttle. With a recommended retail price of €999.99 it is also one of the most expensive Lego sets ever made, so the figures are part of a very large purchase. The set is still on sale in all six markets we checked.

2. Lego® Marvel 76269 Avengers Tower: 31 figures

Avengers Tower has 31 figures, the most of any Marvel set. They include Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Nick Fury, War Machine, Vision, Wanda Maximoff, Wong, Ant-Man and The Wasp. A Leviathan, a Quinjet and 2 Chitauri chariots complete the battle scene. The tower is about 90 cm tall and has 5,201 pieces.

Our old version of this article gave 59 figures for this set. That number was wrong. It came from a catalogue list that does not match the figures in the box. Lego's own figure count is 31 in every language we checked.

3. Lego® Marvel 76178 Daily Bugle: 25 minifigures

The Daily Bugle from 2021 shares third place with the 2016 Death Star and comes first because it is newer. Its 25 minifigures are mostly Spider-Man characters, including Peter Parker, Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Ham, Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Venom, Mysterio and Sandman. Five of them were new when the set came out: Blade, J. Jonah Jameson, Black Cat, Daredevil and Punisher.

The set has 3,789 pieces and is already retired, so it is now only available secondhand. If you buy it mainly for the figures, check that the offer includes all 25 minifigures.

4. Lego® Star Wars 75159 Death Star: 25 figures

The previous Death Star from 2016 has 23 minifigures and 2 droids. It covers both the first film and Return of the Jedi, so you get Luke in several versions, the Emperor and his guards, Tarkin, Han, Leia, Chewbacca and Obi-Wan. The model has 4,016 pieces.

The set is retired, and Brickfact's current market value for it is close to twice its original price of €499.99. For a large Death Star cast, the current 2025 version can therefore be the more sensible purchase.

5. Lego® Star Wars 10188 Death Star: 24 figures

The first large Death Star from 2008 is the oldest set in this top 10. Lego's product page for the set, which is still online in some countries, lists 24 minifigures and droids. Besides Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan, Darth Vader, Tarkin and the Emperor, the cast includes several small droid figures such as R2-Q5, a mouse droid, an interrogation droid and an assassin droid. A Dianoga for the trash compactor also comes with it, but as a creature it does not count.

That makes three Death Stars in the top 5. The 2008 version has 3,803 pieces and covers scenes from Episodes IV and VI. It has long been retired, and Brickfact's current market value for it is close to twice its original price of €419.99.

6. Lego® Ninjago 71861 The Old Town 15th Anniversary: 23 minifigures

The newest set in this ranking came out in 2026 for the 15th anniversary of Ninjago. Lego lists 23 minifigures, including all 7 original ninja. Lego highlights that, for the first time, 3 of them come as collectible minifigures on a display stand. The model has 4,851 pieces and is aged 14 and up.

It is currently available and, at €299.99, the cheapest current set on this list with more than 20 minifigures.

7. Lego® Icons 10305 Lion Knights' Castle: 22 minifigures

The Lion Knights' Castle from 2022 is the only set in the top 10 that is not based on a film or TV series. It comes with 22 minifigures plus 5 animal figures, which we do not count. The cast includes the queen, knights, archers, a wizard and the forest people who raid the castle, so it works well for collectors who want to build up a medieval army.

The set has 4,514 pieces and is retired. Its current market value in the Brickfact price data is above its original price of €399.99.

8. Lego® Star Wars 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina: 22 figures

Mos Eisley Cantina has 21 minifigures plus an R2-D2 droid figure, so 22 figures under our rule. That ties it with the Lion Knights' Castle, which is the newer set. The cast mixes Luke, Han, Obi-Wan, Chewbacca and C-3PO with cantina characters such as Ponda Baba, Garindan and Labria. A Dewback also comes with the set, but as an animal it does not count. The set has 3,187 pieces and is retired.

9. Lego® Ninjago 71799 Ninjago City Markets: 21 minifigures

Ninjago City Markets from 2023 has 21 minifigures and, at 6,163 pieces, the most pieces in this top 10 after the 2025 Death Star. Lego highlights several fan favourites that appear as minifigures for the first time. It is now retired.

10. Lego® Harry Potter 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors' Edition: 20 figures

The Hogwarts Express Collectors' Edition from 2022 closes the top 10. Lego describes a cast of 20 characters spread over four scenes from the films: Harry, Ron and Hermione meeting on the train, Professor Lupin protecting Harry from a Dementor, Luna helping Harry after Draco's spell, and the adult Harry and Ginny with their children on Platform 9¾.

The model is a 1:32 replica of the train with 5,129 pieces, and a lever on the engine makes it rock like a steam train. It ties with Betrayal at Cloud City on 20 figures but is the newer set. It is retired.

Just outside the top 10

  • Betrayal at Cloud City 75222 (2018) has 18 minifigures and 2 droids, so 20 figures like the Hogwarts Express. Under our tie rule, the newer set takes tenth place.
  • Ninjago City Gardens 71741 (2021) has 19 minifigures, including a golden Wu figure made for the 10th anniversary of Ninjago.
  • Lunar New Year Parade 80111 (2022) has 18 minifigures, which is unusual for a set aimed at ages 8 and up.
  • Venetian Neighborhood 11388 (2026) has 17 minifigures and is the newest large set close to the list.

Older sets without a Lego count

Some sets from before the current lego.com era would rank highly, but Lego no longer publishes a figure count for them. Catalogue counts are a useful guide, but they often count small droids or accessories that Lego does not, so we list these sets separately:

  • Trade Federation MTT 7662 (2007): about 21 figures, 20 of them battle droids.
  • Grand Championship Cup 3425 (2002): 22 football players, two complete teams.

Figure packs, chess sets and microfigures

If you only look at the number of figures in a box, some products would beat the Death Star. They are not regular building sets, so we keep them out of the ranking:

  • Lego Serious Play Window Exploration Bag 2000409 is a workshop kit for companies. Catalogue counts list about 100 minifigures for it.
  • Education and Dacta figure packs such as 1066 (36 figures) and Community Workers 9247 (31 figures) were made for classrooms.
  • Chess sets such as Castle Giant Chess 852293 have about 33 figures, because the pieces are the figures.

Three sets from our old list do not belong here at all. Hogwarts Castle 71043 contains 4 minifigures and 27 microfigures, and the Lego board games The Battle of Hoth 3866 and The Battle of Helms Deep 50011 also use microfigures. Microfigures are much smaller and have no movable arms or legs, so they do not count as minifigures.

Conclusion

If you want the most minifigures in one box today, there are two current options: the Death Star 75419 with 38 figures and The Old Town 15th Anniversary 71861 with 23. Avengers Tower 76269 is still listed by Lego but was out of stock in some markets when we checked. All other sets in the top 10 are retired, so you are buying secondhand, and complete minifigures make a big difference to the price.

Star Wars appears four times, including three Death Stars, while Ninjago and Marvel appear twice each.
